American music icon Beyoncé has authorized Kamala Harris’s campaign to use her song “Freedom” as its official anthem.
A source close to Harris disclosed to CNN that Beyoncé, known for her rigorous control over her music, granted permission swiftly when the campaign requested it on Monday, just hours before Harris made her entrance to the song.
A reporter previously said that President Joe Biden will not be representing the Democratic Party flag in the 2024 presidential election.
On Sunday, the US president announced his withdrawal from the November presidential race.
This decision followed increasing pressure from Democratic colleagues in Congress, major donors, and Hollywood celebrities after a poor performance in last month’s debate.
