A Well-known Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has been released from police custody.
He was freed on Thursday, August 29, 2024, after being detained for six days following his arrest by Davido on allegations of defamation.
In earlier posts on his X account, Dammy Krane claimed that his arrest was ordered by Davido.
The announcement of his release was made by well-known social media commentator, Verydarkman, commonly referred to as VDM.
In a now-viral Instagram video posted by VDM, Dammy Krane expressed his apology to Davido for the accusations he had leveled against him.
In the video’s caption, VDM wrote, “Dammykrane is free. Dear @davido, since you honored my request in under four hours, God will honor you as well. I believe God is giving him a second chance, and I hope he concentrates on his music from here on out.”
In the video, Dammy Krane expressed gratitude to his brother, acknowledged that some things are better left unsaid, and apologized for the accusation regarding Tagbo’s death.
He affirmed that David remains his brother and that they will work towards finding common ground to resolve everything.
