The family of the kidnapped Christian music composer, Jude Nnam, has denied rumors circulating that he has been released.
They clarified that, contrary to public speculation, Nnam is still in the hands of his abductors and the claims of his release are false and misleading.
Dear Friends of Dr. Jude Nnam,
“We sincerely thank you all for your prayers and concern for him.
“However, we would like to clarify that the message circulating on social media stating that he has been released by his captors is FALSE and MISLEADING.
“HE IS STILL IN THE HANDS OF HIS ABDUCTORS.”
By the Grace of God we all shall rejoice when he eventually comes out.
“Please continue to put him in your prayers and support.

Reporter reported that Nnam was abducted on Thursday evening around 6 p.m. in Umunnachi, Anambra State.
The music minister had gone to Anambra for a church event.
Nnam, also known as ‘Ancestor,’ serves as the National Music Director for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and is a member of the National Liturgical Commission at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN).
