Controversial Nollywood actor and self-proclaimed cleric, Yul Edochie, has asserted that many Nigerian pastors are destined to be native doctors.
He explained that many pastors forsake their true calling to become native doctors due to the negative label placed on them by Western influences and the film industry, which portrays native doctors as “evil.”
Edochie encouraged some Nigerian clergy to reconsider their path in Christianity and embrace their roots as native doctors.
He stressed that being a native doctor is a divine calling and that native doctors serve humanity.
On his Instagram page, Edochie wrote, “Many pastors today are actually called to be native doctors but refuse to answer the call because Western influences brainwashed us into thinking it’s evil. Nollywood has also played a role in portraying native doctors as evil.
“Being a native doctor is a divine calling from God, chosen to help humanity.”
A true native doctor combats evil, unless he chooses to embrace evil, just as a pastor can choose to do the same.
“Answer your calling. You may never find true fulfillment in life if you don’t.”
