Lagos Government Redirects Traffic to Facilitate Urgent Repairs on the Marine Bridge

The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion on the Marine Bridge to accommodate repair work scheduled from December 4, 2024, to February 25, 2025.

In a statement issued today 1/12/24  in Lagos, the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, advised motorists to use alternative routes during this period.

He recommended that drivers traveling from Apapa toward Lagos Island should take the Costain roundabout, connect to the Eko Bridge, and proceed to their destinations on Lagos Island.

Motorists traveling from Apapa can alternatively use Marine Bridge to connect to Ijora 7up, then take the ramp to access Ijora Causeway through Ijora Oloye, and continue to Iddo to reach their destinations.

During this period, traffic heading towards Apapa from the Costain roundabout will also be affected.
