Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has cautioned African-Americans against moving to Africa in response to Donald Trump’s electoral win in the United States.
According to a reporter, several notable individuals, particularly African-Americans, have been considering relocating from the U.S. following Trump’s re-election as President.
On the Big Homies House podcast, Davido advised people thinking about moving to Africa to reconsider.
He highlighted that the situation in Africa isn’t great at the moment, with many countries’ economies struggling. “The economy is in shambles right now,” he said.
The singer clarified that his remark was not intended to tarnish Africa’s image, emphasizing that his goal is to promote the continent through his music. He further mentioned that entertainment is creating a facade, making Africa appear more favorable.
