Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has revealed that Victor Osimhen’s loan deal from Napoli includes a clause permitting the striker to move to an interested club during the January transfer window.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Buruk noted that the 25-year-old Super Eagles forward intends to complete the season with the Turkish side.
Osimhen’s future generated significant talk throughout the summer, and he eventually joined Galatasaray on the final day of the transfer window after failed attempts to move to Al-Ahli and Chelsea.
He stated, “Osimhen intends to remain here until the end of the season. He wants to stay, and he expressed the same intention from the start.
“There is a clause, but it doesn’t change anything; he has said he will stay. The clause concerns transfers in January and includes various conditions.
“The key factor is the player. The player makes the decision. That’s why Osimhen has said he will stay here, just as he said when he arrived.”
He mentioned, “If the player wants to stay, Galatasaray will do everything necessary to retain him, even if it requires stretching their financial limits. While a transfer right now seems improbable, a move could take place at the end of the season.”
Osimhen has quickly made his mark in Istanbul, netting eight goals and registering four assists in only nine games across all competitions.
