Four Lecturers at Kogi State University Have Been Dismissed for Sexual Misconduct

The Governing Council of Federal University, Lokoja, has approved the dismissal of four lecturers due to examination and sexual misconduct.

Sources indicate that the council granted this approval during its second meeting on Thursday 14/11/24.

This decision follows an investigation into allegations of examination malpractice and sexual harassment made against the lecturers last year.

The council, led by Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, commended the university management for adhering to due process during the investigation into allegations of examination misconduct and sexual harassment against the lecturers.

Senator Ndoma-Egba stated that the council would not tolerate any unethical behavior within the university and urged the administration to expedite action on outstanding misconduct cases, particularly the widely discussed incident in the Faculty of Science.

The council warned staff and lecturers against any form of student harassment, emphasizing that no case of misconduct would be ignored. It also encouraged students to speak up if they experience any form of molestation.
