Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, stated that opposition members are gathering in Abuja and elsewhere with plans to mislead the people of Abia by spreading false information about his administration.
He noted that the opposition has devised a strategy to circulate both fake and, at times, genuine documents for propaganda.
Otti made this statement on Monday at the Government House in Umuahia during the swearing-in ceremony of the Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen, and elected councilors of the 17 local government areas.
While he did not specify the names of the opposition members, Otti emphasized that his administration was unbothered by these gatherings, noting that similar meetings held by the unnamed individuals in the past had failed and would continue to fail.
Let me address the so-called opposition who are assembling in Abuja and other locations with the sole purpose of deceiving the public and distracting this government.
“They have devised a plan to produce fake, and occasionally genuine, documents to support false narratives and spread propaganda.”
Just like the Bible assures, because these gatherings are not of God, they will scatter. Do not take Abia people for granted.
“You have tried this before and failed. What makes you think you will succeed this time especially with all the transformation that has happened in this state in less than 18 months? A word is enough for the wise,” Otti warned.
