After his arraignment on Friday for impersonation, social media critic Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has been granted bail set at N2 million, with the requirement of two sureties for the same amount.
The court additionally ordered him to surrender his international passports and any other identification documents.
VDM as he is popularly known, was arraigned by the police on charges of impersonation.

The Force, through a statement from its spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi, announced that it had begun an investigation into the video.
The bail conditions shared with reporter by VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, state: “Bail is set at two million naira, with two sureties of the same amount. The sureties must submit their international passports, provide valid identification, and swear an affidavit ensuring the defendant’s presence at all times during the trial.
“The prosecutor is to verify the sureties’ addresses. The sureties must also provide utility bills, and the defendant must sign an affidavit committing to attend all trial proceedings. Additionally, the sureties must live within the court’s jurisdiction, specifically within Abuja municipal.”
