Manchester United has sacked Erik ten Hag from his position as the club’s manager, according to a statement released on Monday.
The club also announced that former player Ruud van Nistelrooy would serve as interim coach.
“Erik ten Hag has departed from his role as manager of Manchester United’s men’s first team. Appointed in April 2022, he guided the club to two domestic titles, securing the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.”
We appreciate all that Erik has contributed during his time with us and wish him success in his future endeavors.
Ruud van Nistelrooy will assume the role of interim head coach, with support from the current coaching staff, as we work to appoint a permanent head coach,” the statement added.
