Mike Dada, the president of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), lost his wife, Modupe Temitope Dada, on Saturday.
Modupe passed away at the age of 48 following a short illness at Dutchess International Hospital in Lagos.
Dada announced her death on Instagram, where he shared the news.
With profound sorrow, the Dada family announces the passing of our beloved wife and sister, Modupe Temitope Dada, also known as Dupsy and Mama Africa, at Dutchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
“She was a devoted wife and mother, truly exceptional. Throughout her career in the banking and entertainment industries, she shared with us the love and kindness that endeared her to all.
“The family accepts the will of Almighty God and requests prayers and support from kind-hearted individuals during this challenging time. She always prioritized her family and Africa. Her loss has left an irreplaceable void.”
