A well-known Nigerian comedian Oluseyi Aletile, widely known as Seyi Law, has claimed that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa faces no significant competition in the upcoming Ondo state governorship election.
He made this statement while addressing allegations of assault against the governor, following a viral video showing a man resembling Aiyedatiwa involved in a heated argument with several women.
One of the women, holding the man’s clothes, accused him of physical assault.
The video emerged in the lead-up to the 2024 Ondo state governorship election. Addressing the controversy, Seyi Law cautioned that any legal action by Governor Aiyedatiwa against those sharing the video online would be seen as an act of oppression.
He described the video as a tactic by the opposition to undermine the governor’s image ahead of the November 16 election.
Seyi Law emphasized that Aiyedatiwa faces no serious challengers, predicting an easy victory for him in the upcoming poll.
I’ve just arrived in Nigeria, and it’s disappointing that despite numerous warnings, you still haven’t done the right thing. If the Governor pursues this, your family will cry oppression.
For your information, the Ondo State election is no competition. By noon, una go don see results, run.
