Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has criticized singer Davido for his attire during his visit to the palace of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III.
Davido performed at the ‘Warri Again’ concert in Delta over the weekend.
This follows a year after the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, filed a N2.3 billion lawsuit against Davido for breach of contract, due to his failure to perform at the 19th edition of the ‘Warri Again’ event on October 6, 2023.
However, it appears that the singer quietly settled his legal dispute with Pinnick, as he performed at the 2024 edition of the ‘Warri Again’ concert over the weekend.
Prior to his performance, Davido accompanied the former NFF president, singer Phyno, comedian AY Makun, and Cubana Chief Priest on a courtesy visit to the monarch.
In response to photos of Davido with the monarch, Doyle, a native of Delta State, criticized the singer’s outfit, calling it “inappropriate” for a royal visit.
