A Well-known Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has left Nigeria following an alleged assassination attempt.
He explained his absence from the late singer Mohbad’s Coroner court hearing and his failure to lead a planned protest at the Lagos State assembly on Monday, September 30, 2024.
According to report, Fabiyi had organized the protest to coincide with the coroner’s investigation into Mohbad’s death.
However, the actor revealed that his life was in danger after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt two days prior.
In a controversial Instagram video, Fabiyi, who is currently in hiding, revealed an alleged plot to take his life in connection to Mohbad’s case.
He claimed to have narrowly escaped an assassination attempt two days prior and stated that there were further plans to kill him that night.
“If they had succeeded, I would have been buried tomorrow,” he said, adding that the reason for the threats was his pursuit of justice.
Fabiyi emphasized that he wasn’t paid by anyone and was acting out of a sense of duty to God. He explained that he fled Nigeria without planning and was unsure of his current destination.
