In a recent Instagram post, the actor emphasized that he will not abandon his principles, even if it leads to being misunderstood.
He further explained that staying true to his values has been instrumental in shaping his career.
I’ve grown very comfortable being seen as the villain in some people’s stories. Often, the line between right and wrong gets blurred in these situations, but I’m always ready to share my perspective. My response is to distance myself from the drama and posturing.
At times, I quickly put up barriers rather than compromise my beliefs and values. These principles have shaped who I am and continue to guide who I’m becoming.
One thing is clear: you have to trust people to be who they are. The moon will turn red before I pretend to be someone I’m not. To many, I am a source of light. To others, I represent what their insecurities highlight. I’m both hated and loved for it.”
