On Thursday, Bolt, the well-known e-hailing transport service, revealed that it has blocked a number of accounts that were making fake ride requests and then canceling them.
This action comes in response to a digital conflict currently unfolding between some users of its app in Nigeria and South Africa.
To address the problem, Bolt has also limited ride requests between countries, a step taken to minimize the effects of these fake bookings, which have left many legitimate users without available rides.
