Well-known Nigerian gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori has spoken out about receiving alleged death threats.
During an Instagram live session, Alaseyori pleaded with the public for prayers.
In a video that is now trending online, the singer, without naming anyone, revealed that she has been facing online harassment for the past six months.
She said, “I’m supposed to be afraid of people, but I refuse to die prematurely. It’s now off-limits. You should see my DMs—I read the comments, the curses, and I just smile. I see people wishing ill upon me, and I simply laugh. Because anyone who wishes death upon me is actually counting down their own days.
“If you believe I deserve to die, you’re inviting death upon yourself too. If you’re thinking of death, stay out of my DMs and don’t spread any negativity about me. If anyone gathers to wish me harm, no matter how many or who they are—even if they’re prophets—the angel of death will pursue them. This world is cruel. It’s painful and sad. There’s so much going on.”
“Please keep me in your prayers. I need your support. If you see me performing on stage, pray for me. And remember to pray for me even when I’m not visible or you haven’t heard from me.”
