The family of the late gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, widely known as Aduke Gold, has disclosed the cause of her death.
According to report, Aduke Gold passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.
Her sudden passing has led to a range of reactions on social media, as fans and industry colleagues mourn her loss.
A few hours after her death, a viral report claimed that Aduke Gold died while undergoing fibroid surgery.
However, reacting to the controversies generated by the singer’s shocking death, her brother, pastor Ajayi Aderogbo refuted the report and warned that people should verify information before spreading rumors.
Speaking in a now trending video on social media, pastor Ajayi stated that Aduke died of cervical cancer according to the death certificate from the hospital.
He stated, “The rumors being spread are false. Our daughter was sick with cervical cancer and was taken to UCH in Ibadan, where she sadly passed away. Anyone spreading misinformation should stop.”
