Popular Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer Mandojo has passed away.
Mandojo was fatally beaten on Sunday, August 11, 2024, after being mistakenly identified as a thief.
Musician Soggy Doggy confirmed the news on his social media, writing, “My heart aches deeply. I will miss you so much, my brother and friend. Rest in peace, Mandojo. Life is truly short on this earth.
My condolences to brothers, relatives, and friends. I’m deeply sorry, my brother @domokayatz. God’s plans are without error.”
his tribute, fellow musician Domo Kaya wrote: “My son, I can’t believe it. Your birthday was supposed to be on the 22nd of this month. Why did this have to happen? This is heartbreaking. Rest in peace. May God grant you eternal light, my friend and brother.”
