Rick Ross, the American rapper and record executive, is facing a lawsuit for not making his show accessible for people with disabilities.

A disabled man named Darris Straughter filed the lawsuit, claiming that Ross failed to ensure his popular Car & Bike Show was accessible to disabled attendees.

Straughter stated that despite buying a ticket and organizing travel and lodging, he was unable to attend the event held at Ross’ 235-acre estate known as ‘The Promised Land’ in Fayetteville, Georgia.

The plaintiff, who has been disabled since a traumatic spinal cord injury in 2018, reached out to the event organizers two weeks ahead of time to communicate his needs.

Straughter further alleges that the organizers promised refunds to those unable to attend the event but claims he never received any follow-up or compensation.

Represented by attorney John Hoover, Esq., Straughter is now suing Rick Ross for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).

The lawsuit also seeks damages and a court order requiring that future car shows ensure proper access for disabled individuals.
