Trump sustained a minor injury during the incident.

Trump expressed his gratitude to the United States Secret Service and all law enforcement agencies for their swift response to the shooting that took place in Butler, Pennsylvania, according to a statement seen by a reporter online on Sunday.

He extended his condolences to the families of the victims, saying, “Most importantly, I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family of the person who was killed at the rally, and also to the family of another person who was seriously injured.”

The incident happened when Trump started his final rally before the Republican Party convention. Witnesses reported hearing a series of loud bangs resembling gunshots, which caused disorder at the event.
